The Price of Water

Some years back I'd never thought that I would open my wallet to drink water.  I used to surprisingly see the foreigners who buy bottled water.  I would think that we, Indians are so lucky to have plenty of water everywhere.  I could see water contained pots along the roads especially in summer seasons.  Now all I see is shops that sells water.  Now, I got to pay for it.

The so called foreign companies take our own water and bottle it and sell them to us.  And we're happy to pay for it thinking that it was pure and hygienic.  There are newly established companies to cash in on this business, sells water purifiers.  The general public is not aware of the impacts of the chemicals used to purify the water.

All are making money out of dirty water flowing around the country.  It's you and me who are responsible for this crisis and only who can make sure that the available water is not dirtied.  The best way to use the available water is to use is effectively, when necessary, and what is required.

A man can live his life even without food but not without water.  Because water is the source for the food grains to grow.  Not only we teach our children the importance of water and its use, but also mend our attitudes towards the social responsibility.

Life is Beautiful

When a child smiles at you, when you give the one rupee coin to a beggar and he smiles at you, when you get to sit near the window of the train and the cool breeze blows on your face, when you drive your cycle on your own without help for the first time, when you receive your first salary and your face glows as bright as the sun, When you get the wrist watch for the first time…………………..

Beauty lies in every moment of our life. The more you focus on them the more they would appear beautiful. Have you ever enjoyed that sunset, the colour spreads over the clouds and rays penetrating those clouds? We hardly have the chance to look at this. Most people work only after six in the evening. Have you ever stopped on the road to notice the nest built by the sparrow on the tree? We always run to catch some or the other thing. Unless we notice how beautiful the things are surrounded by us, we will never feel anything beautiful.

Try to spend time for enjoying the nature; it is the most beautiful thing.  Go for long drive, away from the horns and signals and look at either side of the road, there are trees, fields, birds flying along with you.  Play Cricket, Football or whatever game you once played in your childhood and forgot as you grow taller than that cricket bat.

Beauty doesn’t mean how you dress or make-up. It’s how you make up your views on the happenings around you. Try to look for beauty in everything in your life, because, life is itself so beautiful.

Life in the City Bus

Standing at two or more bus stops
waiting minutes to hours for the right bus
seeking a seat near the window
finally finding a place at least to stand
passing the fare through the hands to buy the ticket
hoping for the same to return before the stop comes
fighting for the space for the comfort
Squeezing the body to sweat all out what drunken in the morning
hitting here and there when bus turns left and right
jamming in the traffic quarrels
forcing towards the exit to get down
ending up getting down at the stop far from the actual stop
walking back to the same before it's late
here it is the life in the city bus!
