No Money, but Happiness

He is young in his early thirties.  He has got more than everything what we need in our day-to-day life, own house, Car, a income generating own company and of course lot of money.  The money, no one knows how to spend.  Dressed very smart, always having a laptop on his lap, he looks great.  But where is the happiness?

He has everything including anger.  He is one of the directors of that company.  But he has restless mind.  He shouts almost at everybody working in his company.  Not just one or the other day, but almost everyday.  I wonder if he likes to get angry.

He has more than enough money for his life time.  His parents have already earned for him and they are still earning!  I sometimes felt money was the one thing that would bring happiness.  I dreamt of having been born as a son of millionaire.  I had thought of sitting in the house where there are people to hear from you to do anything for you.

I was wrong.  Money can't bring happiness.  If it can, he would have been one of the happiest persons in the world.  He has everything but no happiness.  And I see so many people who has no money but happiness.

:-)Thanks Sadiya! True, Happiness is about the state of mind not status in life.
I feel happiness has nothing to do with the money though its a necessity but money in harmony with love ,family,friend... bring happiness.

Money is created by man. Our ancestors hadn't known about money. Still they lived happily.

Money sure doesn't get you all the happiness!! First you struggle to get everything.. then you struggle to maintain everything... when do you get time to spend? Not even some of it? Nice post buddy!! It's so important to maintain a balance run after it but only for as much as you need to live a stable life!! Aiming for a lot & a lot more would only mean that you're gonna spend your life running after the money & guarding it... and not spending it...

My Diwali Crackers

I couldn't control my excitement after seeing those crackers.  I even didn't know how it could make me happy.  That was the first time I remember to have seen the crackers.  That evening seemed so long.  I was waiting for the dusk to dawn for bursting the crackers that my father bought.  I was about 6 years old I remember.  I knew that it would make sounds.  He had bought a flower pot packet and couple of  pencil crackers.  My father hardly bought us crackers.  So, I was always excited about crackers.  The thought of bursting crackers itself woke me up so early in the morning.  Even before I brushed my teeth, I run to front of the house.  All I could see was those crackers leaving their last sparkles.  Yes, my father burst all the crackers and what left were only a few pencil crackers. I was disappointed.  And forgot that after I was my new dresses.  After some time, I went out to the street.  While walking along the street, I could see the crackers already burst lying on th

Man Race

It has been just a year went, everybody I see asks me this question "Does your child started speaking?" I wonder why people are in a hurry.  When I just completed my graduation, they asked me when I was going to get a job.  When I got a job, they asked me when I was going to get married.  When I finally got married, they asked me when I was going to have a baby.  They will never stop asking questions.  Are they really interested in your life?  Do they check your progress to compare with them.  Are they want us to run with others.  They mean it as settlement in life.  What after settlement? When I was studying school, I was always told to get higher ranks than our neighbors' children.  Getting a job that pays higher than your friends' or neighbors' is in the agenda.  Starting from building a house to settling our children is the way we have to live the life.     When you go off the way all the people are moving, they started to see you as a Monk.  When yo

The Interview

It is the time in between the dark and light.  The clock starts alarming exactly at 5.00 am.  Amir puts his hand on the clock to stop its alarm, his hands along with clock is vibrating.  Without any second thought he wakes up in a hurry just to avoid the sleeping mood unless he will fell asleep again as he does every day.  He opens the doors of window outside.  The street lights are still blinking, the sun rays are yet to come, few dogs are sleeping on the road platform, and he can hear the sounds of cuckoos.  Without passing any more time, he is to get ready for the day soon. Dressed up in the black pant and blue shirt Amir finishes the breakfast as fast as the time is running out for the interview.  This is the first interview call he receives after many months.  He has to get this job desperately as no more money left in his pocket.  He has to pay off the rent and other expenses as he stays alone in the city and it is becoming costlier day by day. It is the busy bus stop,
